“Who will give God a good loan, which He will increase for him many times over?” [Quran 2:245]
The New Muslim project is a non-profit making group and mostly relies on the good will of our committee, staff, teachers, and supporters. However informal donations are very welcome to help the effort of Deen in the region and support many of the projects we have been involved with or have supported (several have become registered charities).
Donations go towards things such as New Muslim packs, Da’wah efforts, educational activities, and even for simple things such as providing tea and biscuits at events and more. These things of course cost money and we do what we can, however all help is gratefully received.
Why you should help
The effort of Da’wah is a duty on the whole community, however ones contribution can be regarded as giving support to those doing the work. Regardless of the amount, the reward from Allah (swt) is much greater than the investment!
Also, giving to those new to Islam who are in need is one of the categories eligible for zakat. If you would like to give your zakat then please specify clearly that it is for that purpose so that we can dispose of it in the correct manner.
In summary, we require donations in order provide the following:
- Shahadah packs and Da’wah packs.
- Books, library, and study material.
- Workshops materials.
- Venue rental for study circles and other activities.
Any donations are greatly appreciated. A small donation given regularly can greatly benefit the project. Regular donations allow us to budget future events more easily.
